Self-Protection
and Care
Listening and providing assistance and support to organizations and their members in situations of risk, through tools and practices of self-protection, self-care, and mutual security from different disciplines, building bridges with collaborators and accredited aid services close to the organizations and individuals affected.
Self-Protection
A toolkit for the self-protection of organizations in risk contexts or situations, useful when it is necessary to chart routes and activate procedures that allow for the anticipation, prevention, avoidance, reduction, and effective response to emergencies due to threats to the life, integrity, or security of individuals. It is a set of guides, templates, instruments, and skills for addressing self-protection, continuously updated and enriched with current knowledge and experiences.
Risk Management
Advice on managing risks related to security, credibility, operation, or sustainability of organizations in the face of abuses of power, arbitrariness, and intrusive, coercive, or penalizing practices. This is an activity associated with requirements in risk management and in the assistance and protection of organizations working in unsafe contexts, severe restrictions on civil liberties, and excesses of public force against legitimate expressions of civil society.
Support Groups
Support groups for health, social, or legal professionals in their roles of providing assistance, protection, or vital aid to members and beneficiaries of organizations at risk or who have been direct or indirect victims of abuse or rights violations. These focus on psychological and emotional care, comprehensive trauma care, and the handling of forensic, testimonial, or documentary evidence for legal actions, in safe and confidential environments, ensuring informed consent and avoiding secondary victimization.
Help Lines
A digital helpline to provide information about certified centers and professionals who can address urgent crisis or risk situations and provide care to victims of abuse or rights violations, in locations near the affected persons, or remotely with immediate availability to respond to support request. It is a permanent vital aid service in emergency situations, based on a directory of care centers, professionals, and certified phone lines.
