Analysis and
Advocacy

We act in joint strategic advocacy efforts with an impact on public sphere policies and decisions aimed at overcoming obstacles or unsafe environments for civic space, civil society, associative life, and citizen freedoms. This is done effectively and sustainably over time, based on context analysis, the construction of scenarios, the articulation of action agendas, advocacy, and deliberation in national, international, or global spaces, as well as mobilizing the interest and support of public opinion and allied actors.

Advocacy

Civil society advocacy initiatives regarding position statements, petitions, examinations, and hearings on State obligations under international law regarding the recognition, respect, protection, and support of civil society, as stakeholders, evidence providers, and proposers of recommendations in their own right. These constitute processes for driving change led by civil society, based on international instruments, mandates, and recommendations.

Focus Areas

Representation of focus areas within the universe of advocacy actions led by civil society actors, classified by theme, in order to understand work agendas, proposals, and priorities, identify opportunities for action, and detect connections between topics. This is a thematic mapping of advocacy focuses, classified through indices, thesauri, dictionaries, and glossaries, with follow-up on news and information from key spokespersons within civil society.

Scenarios

Scenario analysis for advocacy and risk management to explore and understand multiple trajectories of possible futures for significant events, situations, contexts, or moments that impact desired changes. It prepares for advocacy and risk-facing, useful in uncertainty, providing a breadth of visions and action decisions in an informed, predictable, flexible, and resilient manner against various conditions and threats.

Convenings

Gathering spaces for civil society to share analysis, debate proposals, and adopt courses of action to drive change or participate in public decisions that interest society. These are internal forums, based on common bonds or interests, that reinforce collaborative practices or can lead to new associative fabrics to generate joint actions that promote changes, transformative processes, and greater inclusive and democratic participation.
